Aali-Badni Bugyal, situated in the lap of Uttarakhand, is a name that fills a different thrill in the minds of every tracker and nature lover. This is the place where the lush green velvet plains talk to the sky and where the grandeur of the Himalayas is reflected at every step. This Bugyal (alpine meadose) is not only a natural miracle, but also a spiritual experience which is remembered throughout his life. Greenery, snow -covered mountains, and cold air, all of this is like a magical feeling, which cannot be narrated without feeling.

It is located in the beautiful Bugyal Chamoli district and is counted among the major tracking sites of Uttarakhand. Aali and Bedni Bugyal are two different bugyals which are found on the same track route. Both these Bugyal are located at an altitude of about 11,000 feet and offer a wonderful glimpse of Trishul Parvat and Nanda Ghunt. Later, tracks like Roopkund and Junargali are also added to Bedni Bugyal, which make this route even more exciting.

First of all, by road from Rishikesh or Haridwar, Lohajung or Van village in Chamoli district can be reached, which is the initial point of the track. The distance from Rishikesh to Lohajung is about 250 kilometers and it can take 9–10 hours. The track starts from here, which first goes to Aali Bugyal and then Bedni. On the way, one has to pass through local villages, forests and waterfalls, which makes the journey very exciting.

The track of Aali-Bedni Bugyal Trek is usually 4 to 5 days, which includes the onset of the track on the first day, reaching the second and third day to reach the Bugyals and the journey of return. However, if you want to go to Roopkund, the total tracking can be 7 to 8 days. This track is considered to be medium class, so some physical preparation is also necessary.

This track (basic tracking gear is necessary to go on. Such as strong tracking shoes, waterproof jackets, warm clothes (temperature can go to minus at night), sunglasses, sunscreen, cap, water bottle, flashlight, tracking pole and first aid pole. Camping items and essential food items of camping and essential food and drink if you are doing with you, then you must have a dehydration and a height. Energy drinks and snacks can also be taken along to prevent problems.

The best time to visit Aali-Bedni Bugyal is from May to June and then September to October. In summer, there is a flower out in the Bugyalas and the weather remains clean, while the cold starts around October and starts laying a sheet of snow on the mountains. The monsoon time (July-August) track can be slippery and risky, so travel should be avoided during that time.
