Hyderabad News: There is a tomb in Hyderabad which is not of a human being, but of a faithful horse. It is said that after the death of its owner Abdullah bin Abu Bakar, this horse also stopped eating and drinking and gave up its life with a broken heart. Even today, their graves are side by side – an immortal story of man and his faithful companion.
This is the story of the Nizam rule of Hyderabad and a loyal horse, whose loyalty made him immortal in history. This horse did not belong to any common man, but to Abdullah bin Abu Bakar of Paigah. Abdullah bin Abu Bakar was a prominent member and general of the Paigah dynasty of the princely state of Hyderabad. Paigah was one of the most powerful and trusted feudal lords of the Nizam of Hyderabad. Abdullah bin Abu Bakar was known for his bravery and loyalty towards the Nizam.
a unique tribute
Abdullah bin Abu Bakr’s family and admirers were so impressed by the horse’s amazing loyalty and emotional attachment that they made a unique decision. They decided to bury this faithful horse and build a monument right next to his master’s grave. This was an honor that was usually reserved only for royal families or people of very high status. Thus, a separate mausoleum was built for this horse, near Abdullah bin Abu Bakar’s own grave, near the Kausar Bakht Takiya cemetery. A stone statue of a horse was installed on this tomb, which still stands in his memory.
horse grave
This tomb is located near Kausar Bakht Takiya on the Mangalhat to Aghapura road in old Hyderabad. With time this place became famous by the name of Horse’s News or Horse’s Grave. It has become a quaint but important part of the historical and cultural landscape of Hyderabad.
tourist attraction
Although it is not a grand monument like Charminar or Golconda, it attracts curious tourists and history lovers because of its unique story. It is a reminder of a time when loyalty and emotional attachment were given the highest regard.
