Festival Special Train: In the festive season, Railways have started 6 special trains and Pooja Special Memu services for the convenience of passengers. Korba-Dongargarh and Itwari-Dongargarh Memu trains will make it easier for devotees to see Maa Bamleshwari. Festival special trains are also being run on Bilaspur-Hadpasar and Bilaspur-Yalahanka route.
In the festive season, the railway administration has prepared a large scale for the convenience of passengers. 6 special trains are being run on the occasion of Durgapuja, Deepawali and Chhath Puja. These trains will make a total of 54 rounds. Confirmed seat facility is being provided to passengers on the basis of ‘first come, first serve’.
Keeping in mind the convenience of devotees going to Dongargarh to see Maa Bamleshwari Devi, the Railways has started operating special puja special memu trains this time. Every year lakhs of devotees reach here during Navratri and Durga Puja, in such a situation, this system will prove to be helpful in crowd management.
Korba-Dongargarh (06884) Pooja Special Memu will leave from Korba daily from 25 September to 3 October at 5:30 am and reach Dongargarh at 2:21 pm. At the same time, Itwari-Dongargarh (06883) will run daily at 5:00 am and reach Dongargarh at 9:50 am. The stoppage of these trains will be at all the small and big stations in the middle, so that passengers coming from the villages and towns will be able to travel directly to Dongargarh.
A special train will run for a round on the Bilaspur-Hadpasar (Pune) route. Train number 08265 will leave from Bilaspur on 22 October and 08266 from Hadpasar on October 23. The train has 375 seats in AC-III, 100 in AC-III Economy and 18 in Sleeper. This train will stop at Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Dongargarh and Gondia stations.
Railways have also run a festival special train on Bilaspur-Yalahka route. Train number 08261 will run from Bilaspur on 9 September to 18 November every Tuesday, while train number 08262 will run every Wednesday from Yalahanka to 10 September to 19 November. This train has seats available in AC and sleeper coaches on different dates, so that passengers can book as per their convenience.
For the convenience of passengers, the Railways has released the full details of the availability of seats. From 30 September to 18 November, hundreds of seats are available in AC-II, AC-III, AC-III economy and sleeper coaches on various dates. With this, passengers can plan for their journey by booking tickets in time.
8 rounds of trains and Itar-Shalimar Festival special train will also run between Durg-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Durg. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari will run from 27 September to 1 October and train number 08866 Shalimar-Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari Special Train will run from 28 September to 2 October. These special trains will help control the congestion of passengers in the festive season and facilitate them comfortable travel.
