In June, the operation of the train between Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Srinagar has started. However, only one train is running Vande Bharat. But the Indian Railways is going to increase the number of trains here soon. Work is going on day and night for this.
There is a need to increase the capacity of tracks to increase the movement of trains in the valley. For this, the railway has started working day and night. According to the ministry, due to the deployment of tamping and ballast cleaning machines, work is being done to make safe and convenient travel for passengers in Jammu and Kashmir. This machine fills the pieces of stone under the tracks to keep the railway tracks properly in a straight and ensure stability. Till now, pieces of stone are being filled under railway tracks in the valley.
Besides, two ballast cleaning machines (BCMs) have also been deployed. There are pieces of stone accumulated on ballast tracks. They support railway tracks. These machines are working together and have screened about 11.5 km of tracks. Track recording cars (TRCs) and Ositation Monitoring System (OMS) were also run to assess the quality of tracks.
In order to complete tamping and deep screening tasks, 17 ballast rakes were sent and landed from the railway route of Kashmir Valley from Balley Depot in Kathua, Qazigund, Madhopur and Jind.
AI technology will be used to conduct safe operations of trains here. In this regard, in the past, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has told that AI will use AI to find out the flaws on the track.
