Jaipur. The Pandavas spent some time here during the Mahabharata period in Viratnagar, 85 km from the capital Jaipur. During the unknown, the Pandavas chanted as a refuge in the empire of Matsya King Virat. Evidence of this is still found here today.

There is also a Shivling weighing a 12 -ton of a 12 -ton on the Panch Khand Parvat of Viratnagar. There is also a temple of Bhima and his wife Hidamba. According to local belief, during the unknown, the Pandavas used to hide their weapons on the Panchakhand mountain. Bhima’s footprints are also made here.

It is said that King Virat had given shelter to the Pandavas and he used to live here. Even the people of the city did not know that they were Pandavas. The better King Virat was, the worse his brother -in -law was. His evil eye was on Draupadi and he used to harass her.

Draupadi told this to the Pandavas, which made Bhima very angry. Bhima planned to kill Keechak. Draupadi called Keechak on the Panch Khand Parvat and Bhima went there and killed the Keych.

According to another belief, when the Pandavas and Draupadi were living on the mountain, Draupadi felt thirsty. Bhima kicked a kund by kicking the rock. This pool is still and never dries. Its depth could not be estimated.

Somendra Maharaj, the lord of the 12 Mukhi Shiva temple located on the Panchkand mountain, says that saints and Aghori still do penance here. Religious events are held here from time to time, especially on Shivaratri. Many tourists also come to see this historical place.
