Actually, the main runway of IGI Airport is being closed for upgradation on 28/10. The upgrade work will last for the next three months. Therefore, in these three months the flight operation will be limited to three runways. During this time, 27 will be used for both landing and takeoff. At the same time, the runway 29R will be departure and runway from 29L will be eravel. In such a situation, about 100 flights are expected to be affected daily.

According to Dial, a plan has been prepared in collaboration with the airlines to make the least flight affected due to the runway upgradation work and the passengers have the least trouble. Since 36 flights may be erected in an hour at the airport, some flights have been changed keeping this imagination in mind. Under the plan prepared, 43 flights coming to IGI Airport have been rested.

IGI Airports and Airlines claim that at least the flight is affected due to the circumstances caused by the close, it has been specially taken care of.
