The country’s new tourism minister, Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, has clearly stated that he will implement this tax during his tenure. Earlier this tax was different for passengers coming through air and land. There were plans to take 300 weights from air travel and 150 weights from those coming to land or sea. But now it has been kept 300 weights for all.

How long will this tax be implemented

At present, there is no fixed date of this tax, but the government plans to implement it within 4 months of the rules and technical process completion. According to reports, this tax can be started by the end of 2026.
