History expert Mustafa Khan says that the construction of the wall was started by Abul Hasan Qutub Shah, the last Sultan of the Qutub Shahi dynasty. Construction continued under the Mughal Governor Mubariz Khan of Deccan. Its construction was completed by the first Nizam in the state of Hyderabad. He said that according to what was written in the books, the wall was about 18 feet high and 8 feet wide in different parts. Where there could be danger, there was a place to plant cannons.
Asked about the wall, he further said that most of the wall was destroyed during the great Mussi floods of 1908 and later demolished by the government after independence in the 1950s and 1960s, and those who were left have destroyed almost the entire wall due to encroachment and neglect, now only one door will be seen which will see you some part of this wall.
How to reach Wall of City
It was built on the banks of the Mussi River in the old city of Hyderabad, today a door is present there, Charminar is close to the metro station, you can still see some part of it.
