Hyderabad: The Telangana government has approved a plan to develop the natural attraction of Pedapalli district in a systematic tourist destination, Gaurigundala. The tourism department has released a budget of Rs 6 crore for this project. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of the department, issued official orders in this regard on Wednesday.

The funds will be used to make roads, parking, toilets, drinking water facilities and seating arrangements around the waterfall. The number of tourists has increased here during the monsoon in recent years, so railing, warning boards and life guards will be arranged. And sustainable tourism will be promoted by maintaining the natural beauty of the waterfall for environmental protection.
