Rewa district is famous all over the country for historical heritage and natural beauty. The Chuhiya Valley, Mohania Valley, Suhagi Valley and Drummandganj Valley are also famous here, but the thrill of Baradha Valley is different.
Krishna Kumar Agnihotri, the priest of Baradha Dham, says that there is a dense forest around this valley, where peacocks and sometimes tiger -like wildlife are also seen. Earlier this valley was considered to be a stronghold of dacoits, but now due to the temple, it is all over the time. Devotees do not forget to bow to the temple even while passing through the vehicle.
There is also an interesting story behind the name of Baradha Valley. Earlier there were no roads here and only bullock carts could pass. Due to the curved paths, the leaks of the legs of the bulls used to make way. Since the bull is called ‘Barda’, this valley was named Bardha Valley.
