His Jaguar fighter plane was at an altitude of about 24 thousand feet. Then suddenly they received not one, but two dangerous alerts in the cockpit-oil system-1 and oil system-2 failure. This technical fault was very rare and dangerous. Wing commander Vernon had yet realized that both the engines of the plane were going to leave them.

The right engine failed at a height of 2500 feet

Wing Commander Vernon made a dangerous decision before both the engines of the plane were completely damaged. Under the verdict, he shut down the left engine of the aircraft, so that it could be saved in any way. Subsequently, he started moving towards the nearest airbase from the right engine. The plane had reached a height of about 2500 feet, when the right engine also failed. Now the plane was completely in the air without power. He was moving towards a dense population of Gorakhpur, waving like a cut kite.
