Hyderabad News Hindi: A few distance away from Hyderabad, Sri Chilkur Balaji Temple located in green hills is called “Tirupati of Hyderabad”. This holy place dedicated to Lord Venkateswara provides spiritual peace and amazing experience to devotees with special worship and bhajan-kirtan at Navratri.
Once a very big devotee decided to go to Tirupati with a desire to see Lord Venkateswara. But during the journey he fell ill and stayed at a place called Chilkur near Hyderabad. That night, Lord Balaji came in his dream and said that he does not need to go to Tirupati. God said that he himself will sit at this place and welfare of the devotee. The next morning the devotee excavated that place according to the dream and attained a very beautiful statue of Lord Venkateswara there. This temple was built and built by installing this idol, since this incident, the belief spread that God himself has appeared in Chilkur for the devotees who do not have the ability to go to Tirupati. That is why it came to be called “Tirupati of Hyderabad”.
This temple is situated in the lap of green hills and nature, away from the crowds of the city. The calm and relaxed atmosphere here provides immediate spiritual peace to the visitors. The temple is built in the South Indian style with a beautiful gopuram and huge courtyard.

The biggest feature of this temple is believed that every wish sought here with true heart is fulfilled, especially vows related to marriage and jobs. Like Tirupati, a small hill has to be climbed to reach the temple here too. This climb is a symbol of devotion and dedication.
The atmosphere here becomes even more divine during Navratri. Special worship, havan, and bhajan-kirtan are organized. The whole atmosphere echoes with the sound and chant of bells.

How to reach and time
About 33 km from Hyderabad, Shamshabad is located in Chilkur village on the village, a private vehicle, taxi or bus can be easily reached. Darshan is done here from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the evening.
