Project background

Its purpose is to provide quality food at cheap prices to the poor, daily laborers and people with low income. An auto driver Ramesh said, if you get good food for 5 rupees, then people like us will save money and you will also get healthy food.

Earlier this canteen used to be named Annapurna canteen, now the Congress government changed its name to Indira Canteen, after which the BRS surrounded the government and protested, along with people, people also say.

GHMC officials said that the idea of ​​further expanding the scheme is going on in future, which can also include light breakfast.
