Unique features of the temple
In the sanctum sanctorum, the idols of Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Lakshman ji are beautifully carved from a single black rock. Their Makara Toranam (stone arch) is also made of the same stone which is a wonder in itself. The interesting thing is that the idol of Hanuman ji is not installed inside the sanctum sanctorum, but near the flag pillar in front of Lord Ram. There is a huge and ancient pond located in the temple complex, which is surrounded by verandahs and coconut trees. In ancient times, this pond used to be a major bathing and resting place for pilgrims.

Many famous films have been shot here, like the film Adhuru (2021) – A popular song “Saru Saru” from this superhit film starring Mahesh Babu was shot in this temple. Movie Jersey (2022) – The song “Haya Haya” from this emotional film starring Nani was shot in the temple premises. Vikramarka (2022) – Some shooting of this action thriller film by Ravi Teja was also done here. Uppena (2021) – The famous song “Ni Kasam” from this film starring Panchajanya and Isha Ravi was shot in the huge pond and verandahs of the temple.
There is an easy way to reach the temple, go from Hyderabad towards Shamshabad via Mehdipatnam, the temple is located just 5 kilometers from Shamshabad bus stand or junction. Turn left from the bus stand, and the temple will be clearly visible after a short distance on the main road.
