Ammapalli Sri Ramachandra Temple of Hyderabad: Tollywood Shooting and History

According to the information, this temple is very ancient. The temple building was built by the Vengi kings in the 13th century, while the main idol is believed to be about 1000 years old. There is a huge seven-storey Gopuram (tower) in the temple complex, at the entrance of which a huge statue of Lord Vishnu in sleeping posture looks very beautiful.

In the sanctum sanctorum, the idols of Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Lakshman ji are beautifully carved from a single black rock. There is a huge and ancient pond located in the temple complex, which is surrounded by verandahs and coconut trees. There is an easy way to reach the temple, go from Hyderabad towards Shamshabad via Mehdipatnam, the temple is located just 5 kilometers from Shamshabad bus stand or junction. Turn left from the bus stand, and the temple will be clearly visible after a short distance on the main road.
