Elephant Ride in Jaipur: Elephant rides in Amer Mahal have now become more expensive than before. Tourists will have to pay a new fare to sit on the elephant and roam around the palace. This royal experience has become even more special, but due to the increase in the price, tourists will have to plan.
Jaipur. Amer Mahal of the capital Jaipur is going to be a center of attraction again for tourists. Elephant rides which have been closed for several days will start from Wednesday. Director of Archaeological Department, Dr. Pankaj Dharendra has issued orders. Now the fee of this ride has been increased from Rs 1500 to Rs 2500.
Happiness of elephant owners: Elephant owners and Mahavats have breathed a sigh of relief when elephant rides started. Mahavat Ballu Khan and Abdul Rauf thanked the department. He says that due to the closure of the elephant ride, his livelihood had a big impact. Now with the start of the ride, they will get financial support.
Ban from security reasons: The recent heavy rains collapsed near Jwala Mata temple of Amer Mahal near Rambagh. The elephant ride was temporarily stopped in view of security. The department has decided to start the ride only after reviewing the wall repair and safety measures.
Ride failed in elephant village: Optionally, riding from elephant village was started when the elephant ride was closed. But tourists could not reach due to bad roads and distance to reach there. As a result, the elephant could not increase tourism activity even in the village and Mahavat continued to struggle with the economic crisis.
Returned tourists: According to tourist guide Mahesh Kumar Sharma, elephant ride is a big attraction for tourists. Thousands of tourists come here daily and enjoy the ride by waiting for hours. But during the closure of the ride, tourists were returning disappointed, which also caused damage to the tourism industry.
Elephant care expensive: Ballu Khan, chairman of the elephant village development committee, said that an elephant costs about 4000 rupees per day. This includes food, medicines and care expenses. An elephant eats about 260 kg of diet daily, which includes sugarcane, jowar, green fodder, bananas and wheat rotis.
