Lack of correct training of guides-
According to a paragliding specialist According to international standards, only 5% of the instructors in India are trained. This situation worsens when people without experience in the peak season start running adventure sports as a freelancer. After the accidents, orders for restrictions and investigation are often given for a few days, but the activities start again after a few days.
According to TOI news, experts say that Tourists should be aware of their safety and take necessary precautions before participating in any activity. Instead of closing unknown guides or companies, it is very important to check their authenticity and safety standards. Take care of these things-
Check the company’s authenticity-
Before participating in any adventure sports, keep in mind whether the company you are taking service is registered or not. A registered company follows all the necessary rules of safety and has trained staff. Avoid unilateral or temporary operators, as they do not follow safety standards.
Ask guides and operators who prove that they are trained and experienced. Before participating in any activity, ask them about their training and experience. If they hesitate to show the certificate, do not serve them.
Do not trust the driver’s recommendation-
Many times taxi drivers recommend cheap operators. However, these operators have neither the right equipment nor enough experience. In such a situation, instead of advice of the driver, do research at your level and only go to the certified operator.
Be responsible and be alert-
Adventure sports can be enjoyed only when you prioritize your safety. Negligence in search of adventure can prove to be dangerous. So always be cautious, ask questions and participate in an adventure activity only after being satisfied. Remember, your safety is your own responsibility.
