Bharatpur: The Keoladeo National Park of Bharatpur, usually known as Ghana. Once again, it has been drenched with life. Due to lack of water last year, this world famous bird sanctuary was struggling with drought -like conditions, but this time the water supply from Panchna dam has again brought greenery and life to this sanctuary.

The rain and water from the dam have made waterlogging in the park. Due to which the dry lakes, ponds and canals are filled again. Greenery has started appearing all around. The feeling of coolness and moisture in the atmosphere has returned. Hundreds of bird species, wildlife and fish living here have been given direct benefits of this waterlogging. DFO Manas Singh told Local 18 that along with the migratory birds present in the park, the local birds have now returned to their routine uninterruptedly.

Jalapakshi is seen floating in lakes

Along with hyacinth, moss and other aquatic plants, the number of fish has also increased. Due to which the birds are getting plenty of food. Ducks, stork, pelikan and other Jalpakshi are seen floating in lakes. Wild animals like deer, nilgai and jackal are also now roaming fearlessly in the open. According to forest department officials, this waterlogging is no less than a lifeline for biodiversity.

It is not only going to give life to birds and creatures. Rather, the tourists coming to the park will also attract the arrival of foreign migratory birds in the coming months. Those who camp here during the winter season. Keoladeo National Park is not only a biological heritage. Rather it is also the identity of Bharatpur.
