One of the oldest dams in the country, Latif Shah Dam is located in Chandauli district. This dam, located near Latif Shah’s tomb, is named after him. This dam on the river Karmnasha was built in 1921. The reservoir built by the dam is mainly used for irrigation and human consumption.

Latifshah Dam has water from Karmnasha river and during the monsoon, the view here becomes very beautiful. To reach here, unlike the direction of the canal from Chakia Market, that is, follow the canal for about 4 to 5 kilometers towards the inverted stream of water, then you will reach the dam directly. This dam is located about 45 to 50 km from both Banaras and Sonbhadra.
