Gurez Valley is in Bandipora district of Kashmir. This valley is surrounded by the Himalayas from all sides. The snow on the mountains here and the greenery spread all around make this place special. To reach the Gurez Valley, a cab runs from Bandipora which takes 3 hours. The way to reach this Valley is very unique in itself. The beauty here will make you crazy. On the way, Razdan comes near which is at a height of more than 3 thousand meters. From this place, Gurez Valley can be seen from bird eye view. The mist and sometimes the sky is cleared here. A little distance away from Gurez is Tulail Valley which is surrounded by mountains and dense forests. Here you will get to see the culture of Kashmir closely. Wherever you go in Gurez, you will see the Kishanganga river flowing everywhere. People on its banks are often seen fishing. This Valley Loc of Kashmir is very close to the line of control. Because of this, there is high security here. You have to cross many check posts before reaching Gurez. Gurez is not a famous tourist destination, so there are only government guest houses here. A few home stays will also be found. Tourists do not come here, so you will feel peace along with watching the local life of Kashmir. There is also no traffic here. People of the Monna tribe live here who are hunters.
