This news is very important for all tourists going to Uttarakhand. Recently, there has been a serious problem of traffic jams at major tourism and religious places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun and Nainital. A large number of tourists are reaching these areas on holidays and weekends, due to which there is a long jam on the highway and main road. Even a small journey like Haridwar to Rishikesh is now taking 5 to 6 hours, while in normal days the same distance used to be covered in less than one hour. Similarly, vehicles are also seen crawling on the routes of Mussoorie and Nainital, due to which the passengers are facing a lot of trouble. Many tourists have faced delay in hotel booking, worship, darshans and other schemes due to being stuck in traffic.

Taking this problem seriously, the administration is implementing many arrangements. A shuttle service has been started between Bhawali to Kunchi Dham near Nainital so that tourists can park their car and reach the temple via shuttle. A special campaign called ‘Operation Laws’ has been started in Dehradun, which aims to follow the traffic rules and prevent chaos. Police and administration teams are posted at main intersections and tourist places so that traffic can be controlled. Despite this, the situation of the jam is not completely under control due to high crowds and limited road facilities.

Follow this method

In such a situation, if you are planning to travel to Uttarakhand, then it is important to pay attention to some precautions and suggestions. First of all, take information about weather and traffic before the journey and if possible, travel in the off-season to avoid the holidays. Try to get out early in the morning so that the chances of getting stuck in the jam are less. Use public or shared transport instead of private vehicles, such as local taxi, shuttle or state transport buses. Be patient during the journey and follow the traffic rules. Many times the administration also ban the entry of vehicles in an area, so it will be beneficial to take fresh updates from the concerned district or tourism office website.

Make plan of low crowded places

As the summer season arrives, people start turning to the hill stations to get relief from the scorching heat. Popular hill stations like Nainital, Mussoorie, Shimla and Manali attract millions of tourists every year, causing huge crowds and traffic problems there. If you also have a mind to go to a cool and quiet place, then you can choose some low crowds, that is, you can go to the North-East states of India, where there are many hill stations and towns which are less crowded but very beautiful. The Mavalinnnonong of Meghalaya, which is called the cleanest village in Asia. This village is an excellent example of peace and cleanliness. Similarly, Mokokchung of Nagaland, Champai of Mizoram, and Zoro Valley of Arunachal Pradesh are also places where tourists go in small numbers, which maintains the natural beauty there.
